What’s The Great Kiwi Bake Off Season 4 all about?
Twelve amateur bakers participate in The Great Kiwi Bake Off, a New Zealand entertainment baking competition modelled on The Great British Bake Off. The contestants on the show are all amateurs, and each episode of the show has a different challenge for the bakers to complete, such as a distinctive baking, a technical bake, or a showstopper. The goal of the show is to determine the best all-around baker from among the competitors. The judges evaluate each bake carefully before selecting a Star Baker and a competitor who is then disqualified from the competition.
The three main challenges are known as Signature, Technical and Showstopper challenges. In Signature Challenge, the home bakers are given a chance to display their tried-and-true recipes, whereas in Technical challenge, a similar recipe is given to each baker, and they have to make the most out of it. The final food prepared by the bakers is then ranked from top to bottom.
The final challenge allows bakers to demonstrate their abilities, with judges seeking for baked goods that have both a great presentation and exceptional flavor.
