What Happened In “The Golden Spoon” So Far?
We saw Jun’s imprisonment as Seung-Cheon and Ju-hee resumed their friendship. The following day, when Yong delivers to the Hwangs’ house, he is ready to put the golden spoon to the test. The shareholders were once more impressed by Seung-Cheon and expressed gratitude to Hyun-so for helping with the Jun case.
Yeo-jin discovers from another source that her father went to a shaman and was told that his child had died unexpectedly more than ten years earlier. However, as President Oh scatters his talisman, he unexpectedly comes upon pictures of Jeong Nara’s father. Soon after, Yeo-jin appears, behaves normally, and then departs the area housing the images to investigate their purpose.
Tae-Yong scares Seung-Cheon when he sees him by subtly letting him know what the gold spoon is capable of. Hyun’s assistant explains how her boss picks the presents based on what the beneficiary wants but lacks to ensure he always gets it right. Before leaving, Seung-Cheon gives the housekeeper instructions to keep an eye out for Tae-Yong eating at their residence.
However, the messy Young-sin does that and invites Tae-Yong to dinner. He is still eating when he arrives at the Hwang residence and finishes his meal swiftly before leaving. Seung-Cheon decides to leave, but not before asking Tae for dinner. Ju-hee finds out that the owner of the bag has been found. The bag was not there when he hurried over to look for it.
When the woman is questioned about it, she keeps claiming to be the district councilor of Gangnam, whose servant had seized her life using a golden spoon. Ju-hee is astounded by everything and wonders what the “golden spoon” is after being reminded of Tae’s statements to Seung-Cheon. Seung-Cheon tries unsuccessfully to contact Yong after discovering that she had lunch at his house.
When his mother serves him his favorite dumpling stew, he feels a wave of nostalgia when he arrives at the Lee family’s house. Seung-Cheon and Yong are sharing a meal. The former continues to urge the latter to dine while cautioning him about the negative effects of the change.
He remembers trading Tae-spoon Yong’s for a replica, yet he is also delighted inside. When Tae-Yong, who was about to dine for the third time, pauses and declines to go for the swap, Seung-Cheon is shocked. Tae-Yong slaps Seung as he tries to stop him and says that he wouldn’t swap his parents for anything. Seung, who later gets drunk in a pub, is shocked to learn this.
President Oh has received some unexpected information, and Jun-tae informs his friends of the approaching storm. In the current episode, after Seung learns that Tae ate at his house and is astonished by the circumstances that forced them to exchange on their birthdays, it is revealed that Seung-Cheon and Tae’s birthdays coincide.
When Hyun-do arrives, he attempts to push Tae-Yong outside before acting normally because the changeover has not yet happened. When he starts recognizing him as Lee Seung-Cheon, Cheon is startled by this and starts to question whether the rule might not be applicable.
