Tae eventually breaks down and admits to killing his ex-girlfriend after she discovers his spy cameras hidden throughout her home and threatens to expose him for the weirdo that he is because he has no one to protect him. If you believe this case is over, reconsider because we still need to finish. We’ll watch as the other involved offenders are apprehended one by one.
The one hired to kill Seok-doo comes first. As is his wont, Ho determines Pil should employ the man to stage a hit on Baek. They create this elaborate backstory, into which Pil delves far too far, and in little time at all—really, it only takes three minutes—they have identified the offender.
The mafia loan shark with such a side business in contract killing is apprehended, along with the officer who set Ho up and gave Tae-Hwa inside information. His far older dad is the ultimate “employer.” When they arrive at him, one of his assistant prosecutors has already admitted to conspiring with Hwa.
To Seol’s dismay, Ho vacates the apartment when the case is largely resolved. He relocates to a home that could be his former residence. He has lived there before, though it’s unclear whether he is from Taewon or if he relocated there afterward.
Ho abandons this case to see Tae-Hwa in jail and find out who the real criminal boss is since he knows that Tae-Hwa did achieve all of this himself. Tae breaks down and appears to be very afraid. Beware, it’s another harsh one; in the meantime, the cops are engaged in another case involving a deceased infant.
After already being stillborn, the small infant was placed in a purse. They track the bag to a wealthy woman, who vehemently denies responsibility and quietly reveals that her spouse is a judge. She is speaking the truth; the kid was her teenage daughter, and the DNA supports this. And also, that child is, in fact, the young woman who attempted suicide, Ha-Eun.
The girl can only be persuaded to speak by Seol. Ha acknowledges that the child is hers and provides a list of potential fathers, including several men. The police are permitted to collect DNA samples from the kids after some conflict between wealthier moms. And they are all unmatched. Jin contributes to the case by noticing detail in his bodycam footage of when they saved Ha—she wasn’t alone in the house.
Ho and Pil pop by Ha-eun’s house and confront her family during dinner. They’ve got photos of someone hiding in her brother’s room the day Ha almost jumped off the balcony and the brother’s cell phone records. Ha smiles while her brother looks nervous.
