Gus gave the equipment from the basement to William and others in the previous episode. Viewers are curious to find out how William and the other heroes would defeat the dragon in The Faraway Paladin Season 2 Episode 7.
Antonio prepared the thing William asked for, and the heroes took off on the boat for their next journey. They decided to get off the ship because William had another plan.
Everyone was confused as to why they had to get off at such a short distance. William informed them after the grand start of their voyage downriver.
The demons would have been on their move, too, so he asked Marcus and his group to take their boat and act as their body doubles to confuse the demons.
William had already prepared another boat so all of them could go downriver. William informed everyone he had requested Antonio prepare all that for them.
William had already checked in with the dwarfs, so once they entered the tributary upriver, They could easily reach the mountains from the other side.
While the demons were waiting for their arrival at the front door, William had planned that they would kick down the back door and enter by force.
Sylphs could put the wind at their backs to accompany them so they could make their way. Meneldor had put concealment and silence on them so the demons would not find them easily.
William believed that at the speed at which they were going, they would be able to reach the location by morning. William informed the other members that the three heroes still lived there as undead.

William and the other members entered the maze fog, and he informed everyone that it was his grandfather’s magic. Reystov told them it was the higher version of the maze alley, magic, that protected the academy.
They had heard the rumors, but it was their first time seeing them in person. Meneldor realized that it was top-rank magic. William created a path through the fog.
William and others finally reached his hometown, and he immediately went to meet Blood and Mary upon his arrival.
William was excited to meet Gus, and the two of them caught up about the matter of William’s life. William informed Gus that he was the lord of the entire downstream region.
Gus was so impressed with William that he made a name for himself in Paladin at such a young age without any connection.
Gus was glad that William was back, but then he found out that William and the other heroes were planning to fight the calamity’s sickle and lost his composure.
William told him that was the only way, and Gus advised William that he should not limit himself to just one possible solution.
He suggested to Gus that he should be flexible with his ideas and gave the warmest welcome to William’s friends. Grendir was grateful to meet Gus again, but unfortunately, Gus did not remember their meeting.
Grendir informed Gus that he was the soldier that the three of them saved after he fled the mountains 200 years ago. Gus had no idea that Grendir was the renowned wandering sage.
Grendir thanked Gus, as because of him, he was able to live and serve as a new ruler. After settling down at his place, William decided to ask his grandpa about Valacirca.
Gus informed William that he had never seen the evil dragon Valacirca with his own eyes. Gus mentioned that he wanted to bargain with Valacirca once but never got a chance.
He explained to William that if Valacirca had not been employed by the demons, all the heroic lives would not have been lost.
