The Eminence in Shadow Episode 4 will have Cid face one of the biggest problems ever since he came to this world. He has long tried to stay in the background and manipulate things from the shadows, a habit he took from his previous life. But this time, he had hope that things would stay that way, so he had been making his way through all the lies.
First was the lie of the Diabolo cult that is in the process of overtaking the world. Then lying to the members of the cult he had formed to be a shadow leader himself. However, they grew up and went their ways, believing it to be a fairy tale. Or that’s what Cid thinks.
The Cult is real but hasn’t made any real or dangerous moves on the people that surround Cid. They will soon learn of the Shadow Garden that is working to oppose them. While all of that happens, Cid has gotten into the magic academy and learns the way of the Dark Knights( Batman Academy?) We saw new characters being introduced in the last episode and the life of Cid as he enrolled in the academy. In just a few months, he got into trouble that could get him Guillotined.
The Eminence in Shadow Episode 3 Recap
The Eminence in Shadow Episode 3 had Cid get into a relationship with the second daughter of the king, the younger sibling of the Kingdom’s Hero, Alexia. Cid had nothing to do with her, but he and his friends made a bet that would end up with the loser proposing to the princess.
Cid prepared to make sure that she would dump him on the spot, and they would all lie about this incident. But if the series has taught us anything, it is this, the world doesn’t work the way Cid perceives it. And so the princess accepted her, and the two started dating. The next plan Cid is to get out of the relationship.

The Eminence in Shadow Episode 4 Spoilers
The Eminence in Shadow Episode 4 has Alexia gone missing, and Cid is the prime suspect. He has no idea where she went, nobody does, but he was the last person seen with her. The story in manga brings back the members of Shadow Garden at this point to help Pochi err Cid in a mission to clear his name and save Alexia.
The main reason she has been kidnapped is because of her lineage to the royal family and for the Diabolic cult. Alpha was able to ascertain that Cid would be used as the scapegoat for the cult’s purposes and used as a decoy to get away with Alexia’s kidnapping.
Alexia has been kidnapped so she can be experimented on over and over to make monsters and even perform a summoning. Alexia will also learn that her fiance for the wedding was a fraud all along, true to her intuitions. She will deal with the prince of lies by herself when she is saved by none other than Pochi! Or his alias Shadow, the leader of Shadow Garden. We might also get to see the knight princess Iris as well.
