Recap
During Jihyun’s presentation, which is interrupted by the rest of the class, the instructor commends him for using his mishap to think about the project. After class, Bitna meets Jihyun and Ae for lunch, and the three of them talk about the surf club’s dissolution.
From his lunch seat across from Eunji, Jaewon is glaring at Jihyun. Jihyun acknowledges him and smiles at Jaewon, but the latter turns his back on the rookie. When Aeri mentions the hearing that was scheduled to be held later that day against Jaewon, Eunji becomes irritated.
Yoon-won and Eunji make an effort to persuade Taehyung to withdraw his accusation against Jaewon before the hearing. The hearing begins when Tae-hyung decides he won’t be returning the complaint. Tae-hyung explains why Jae-won had been at fault even though he was only carrying out his duties as a teaching assistant.
Jaewon expresses his neutrality and accepts responsibility for his deeds. He accepts whatever penalty may be meted out and apologizes for hitting Taehyung. The council members invite Yoon-won to explain Won’s actions on behalf of the surf club, but Jihyun steps forward and meets with the council.
The members are informed by Hyun that his goal in speaking to them was to describe his typical behavior rather than to defend Jae-won’s acts. Ji says that Jae is the only member of the surf club who has ever been friendly to him and welcomed a country boy like him.
The underclassman adds that Tae made a crude joke about Ji’s unfortunate tragedy, which caused Jae to become enraged and attack Tae. Ji finds it consoling that Jae-won stood up for him because he was actually hurt by a joke made about him.
The council takes Ji’s statement into account and sentences Jae to community service. Infuriated, Tae asserts that Jae’s wealthy father has purchased the council members and is once again bailing out his son. After leaving without speaking to Jae, Ji sends him a text to see how he’s doing.
Tormenting Ji, Joon steals his phone, only to find that Ji is only texting Jae and not Ae-Ri or any other lady. Joon-Pyo is informed by Ji-hyun that he likes boys and that Jae-won is the individual he has been seeing.
Ji-hyun continues by saying that he lied to Joon-Pyo out of fear of losing his best buddy for a very long time. The news that Ji-hyun did not have enough faith in him makes Joon-Pyo depressed. He asserts that as long as he liked Jae-won, it didn’t matter what gender individual Ji-hyun was dating.
Joon-Pyo acknowledges the fact that Ae-Ri was aware of Ji-hyun’s connection before he hurt him. Ji-hyun is astonished when Joon-Pyo informs him that Jae-won waited by his hospital bed the entire time he was recovering.
Joon-Pyo is informed by Ji-hyun that he is aware of how severely damaged Jae-won is and that, if given a chance, he would like to assist Jae-won in healing from his ordeals.
