Coming up next week is the premiere of The Eighth Sense Episode 5! This is a brand-new and upcoming Korean BL series, which marked the debut of its first ever episode on March 29, 2023. The K-drama is scheduled to have a total of 10 episodes, each of which will last roughly 30 minutes.
Our primary character, Ji Hyun (Oh Jun Taek), is a first-year student at a school in Seoul. He is from a small rural community and is used to living in the peaceful farmland. Since moving to the vibrant city of South Korea, he has struggled to establish long-lasting relationships and feels lost and confused.
The older Jae Won (Im Ji Sub) has completed his obligatory military service and is now returning to Seoul and the same institution where Ji Hyun is studying. The two develop a growing sense of mutual interest in one another as their lives intertwine. However, things start to spiral out of control when Ji Hyun joins the same surfing club as Jae Won.
Their romance progresses as Ji Hyun learns to love surfing and the sea. When the surfing club leaves on a trip, the couple discovers themselves alone together and shares a kiss. However, Jae Won eventually begins to act as if nothing ever happened. Is this just a passing romance or a once-in-a-lifetime adoration?
The Eighth Sense Episode 4 Recap (Spoilers!)
The Eighth Sense Episode 4 begins with Ji Hyun and Jae Won meeting each other at the Han River. As the two of them share quality time together, Ji Hyun tells Jae Won to draw something while he goes to the convenience store. After Jae Won finishes his first masterpiece, the both of them sit together and eat Ramen with the Han River behind them.
The next day, Jae Won’s class has a group project, where they have to work in pairs. the TA, who favors Jae Won and knows his whole history, decides to pair him up with Eun Ji, his ex, who Jae Won does not wish to interact with at all. Forcefully paired together, Jae Won has no choice but to accept it and work together withh Eun Ji.
While working together, he spots Ji Hyun, alone, doing his work. He rushes to him and starts talking to him. While the two of them are spending time, Eun Ji walks past and notices how well Jae Won is getting along with Ji Hyun. The same evening, she decides to visit the restaurant Ji Hyun works in.
In the restaurant, Eun Ji does not spare Ji Hyun at all. She does all she can to make him run around and follow her orders. She treats him cruelly, showing her jealousy towards him. Ji Hyun has no other option but to comply to her demands as she’s a customer and his club senior.
Ji Hyun’s manager notices how Eun Ji was treating her part timer, so when they left, she made sure to give her an earful and protect JI Hyun. The night ended with Ji Hyun finding Jae Won on the road, while the two of them hold hands walking towards his apartment.
They go to the rooftop to drink beer together, and as they’re about to share a kiss, they get interrupted by Ji Hyun’s friend. The episode ends with Jae Won flustered about the incident, while the both of them hoped to share a kiss together.
