The story was compiled into sixteen tankobon volumes. Then, a cool anime series made by J.C.Staff hit the screens from July to September 2021.

The story is about a young Duke named Viktor who got cursed by a witch when he was a kid. The curse makes him accidentally kill anything he touches.
Because of this, his mom kicks him out, and he ends up living in another house with just a maid named Alice and a butler.
Over time, Viktor and Alice become really good friends. He struggles to deal with his curse while also trying to figure out who cursed him in the first place.
At the end of the second season of The Duke of Death and His Maid anime, Viktor made a big declaration. He said he’s determined to break free from his curse so he can love someone and be with them.
In The Duke of Death and His Maid season 3, episode 1, we’ll see more of the romance between the Duke and his maid, Alice Lendrott.
