In the last chapter, Xing-Chen was at her parent’s store trying to help them with stuff. Yan Xing came to the store to meet her. They were about to head out to have some food, while Xing-Chen went to speak to the decorator. On the way, she accidentally bumped into a scaffolding knocking things over. Yan-Xing dove into action and saved her. In the process, he was hurt by the falling items.
They take him to the hospital to get checked out. All his tests were normal; however, Xing-Chen wanted him to be admitted for observation. While Xing-Chen went to pay the bill, Yan-Xing was left alone with Xing-Lan, her brother. Xing-Lan gives him the old “If you hurt my sister, I will end you” spiel. He then thanks Yan-Xing for saving Xing-Chen and tells him that he approves of their continued relationship.
