Get ready for some more fashion drama! There’s a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada in the works! This news comes from Puck, a website that reports on entertainment stuff. The movie will be a follow-up to the super popular 2006 film starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep.
There’s no word yet on if the original stars will be back, but it seems unlikely they’d make a sequel without them. We might also see Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return, but that’s not confirmed either.
Disney hasn’t said much else about the movie, but they might reveal more details next month at a big Disney event.
The first movie follows Andy Sachs, a recent college graduate who gets a job as an assistant at a fancy fashion magazine. Her boss is Miranda Priestly, a super strict and demanding editor. At first, the job is a nightmare, but Andy starts to learn more about the fashion world and Miranda herself.
We don’t know what the sequel will be about yet, and it might not be based on the book sequel, Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil’s Return.
If you can’t wait for the movie, there’s a Broadway musical based on The Devil Wears Prada coming soon! It will have new music by Elton John. There’s no release date for The Devil Wears Prada 2 yet, but you can watch the original movie on Disney+
