In the previous chapter, that is, Chapter 13, Kim Minjun finds himself in a sticky position due to his previous actions. His Superior questions if he has re-enlisted or is a regressor. He denies it and makes sure to keep his mouth shut. His Superior tells him that it was luck that he had not faced any consequences and he should be careful.

He also explains to him how there are different divisions of the corps and that the hunter corps has most of the awakened soldiers. Minjun finds himself in a confused state as to why he has a theory class before him regarding all this information he has an idea about. His superior cleared it out that an important person was visiting their base. This person is the one who has killed the most monsters in the 104th division.

All the heads arrive to greet him, including Minjun. Minjun is questioned for forgetting to bring his equipment; he then apologizes for it. Then he is asked if he eliminated thirty bats on his own, and he answers yes. His efforts are recognized as if he had not reacted fast; the oil reserve would have exploded.

He is presented with a gift from the division commander, that is, his promotion and advancement as Private, First Class, along with a vacation, so he is happy. He then goes to the gaming center only to find through a conversation between some peddlers that there are probably some monsters in the mountains, and he heads over there to investigate.
