Todd and Julie Chrisley’s appeal hearing pushed to April
According to Surgent, the couple’s appeal hearing has been postponed until April 15 2024. It was first scheduled to happen in March.
It was Savannah who first broke the appeal news last month in an Instagram video, revealing that the appeals court had accepted the family’s oral arguments, which marks a significant step in the appeals process.
She was very happy to bring back her parents home safely. In the video she is telling that they are a step closer to bring their mom and dad home. But it seems that the family will have to wait for four more months.
In the video, she also added that only six percentage of the cases that are submitted for oral arguments get accepted. She is still having the hopes that her family will be together for the next Christmas.
Surgent also hinted that Todd is not really happy with appeal hearing being postponed but he is very content with the oral argument. The family is hoping and believing that the judge will give full considerations and reverse the convictions.
Savannah will be hosting a traditional holiday dinner at home on December 25 in the absence of her parents. She will be joined by her brothers Chase and Grayson, her niece Chloe whom the family adopted, and their grandmother, Nanny Faye.
Todd exposed the facility in the FPC Pensacola
Todd has been in the prison for the last eleven months and has lashed out on the inhumane conditions in the prison. He has been exposing the FPC Pensacola facilities and said that the guards are misbehaving with the inmates.
In the first interview after being convicted, he said that the guards are mistreating the inmates. The guards have been harassing the fellow mates with their harsh words. He also said that the guards mentioned about putting Todd in shackles and give a ride around the country in order to humble him.
He also pointed about the filthy conditions in which the prisoners are staying. He said that the food served is out of date and is a year past expiration. The prisoners are starving to death and is not even getting a thousand calories a day.
FPC Pensacola replied to the allegations, saying that the food they serve is very nutritious and all the facilities provided are up to date.
