Fans have been waiting for The Boys’ new season and amidst that, the creators have announced the release date for a spin-off called ‘The Boys: Diabolical’. What are we going to get on the table with this spin-off? Firstly, it will be an R-rated animation spin-off of The Boys’ universe. It will have references from various shows and animes. Also, some Korean touch to one of the episodes. Along with producing the show, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are the masterminds behind it.
We also have a creative team of writers working for it, like the legendary comedian Andy Samberg, comic writer Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer, and Awkwafina. Talking about the direction, there are a lot of animation veterans. Two episodes are under Giancarlo Volpe who made ‘The Dragon Prince’, then we have Derek Thompson who has assistant direction Phineas and Ferb, and a lot of other directors as well. The spin-off does look very promising. So let us find out the release date of ‘The Boys: Diabolical’.

What Is ‘The Boys: Diabolical’ All About?
The series is an animated spin-off of Amazon’s famous ‘The Boys’ and superheroes, villains, and the poor, ordinary, non-powered souls caught in the middle. The fans expect super-powered babies mowing down SWAT squads and all the usual mayhem from the series. Although, it is an R-rated animated. We have been seeing superheroes rule the hearts of our young audience and they have a large fan following. It is because of the largely popular Marvel Universe and Warner Bro’s DC Universe. So it is about time we get an animated series to finally give them competition in the comedy genre.
We know the series ‘The Boys: Diabolical’ has eight episodes, each lasting about 12 minutes. Despite the fact that they all take place in The Boys’ universe, they are not strictly following the ‘principle’ of time, because of course, it is an animated spin-off. We don’t have to make sense there, do we? The events might be taking place in their universe or not, but it is clear that whatever happens, it will not have a significant impact on the main series’ story in the future.
That means if you are watching the show just for following the stories of the main characters, you might be disappointed. However, if you are just looking for some entertaining stories with light connections to the main plot and appreciate the creative freedom of writers, this is a perfect show to make you giggle.
What Is The Release Date Of ‘The Boys: Diabolical’?
The Boys: Diabolical is going to get released on March 4, 2022. It will be releasing all eight episodes on Amazon Prime Video at the same time. This means the fans can watch them all at once and enjoy binge-watching. ‘The Boys Season 3′ is going to get released this summer and this spin-off could really be used to pass your time before the main series returns. You must be wondering what you can expect from these mini-episodes? Well, according to the creators, the fans can expect hidden stories within The Boys’ universe.
Each episode delves deep into a different facet of ‘The Boys’ and their scary and unappealing universe. Every episode has been meticulously calibrated to its own subject matter. This gives the entire series a nice aesthetic range that promises to have something for everyone. Are you a ‘Rick and Morty’ fan? Well, there is a ‘Rick and Morty’ inspired episode waiting for you that will use the inspiration to tell a story similar to the series’ characters. Do you like watching K-Dramas? Well, we have something for you as well. An episode will be inspired by Korean drama and horror and there is one inspired by French comics.
Is There A Trailer?
Of course, there is! Amazon Studios uploaded the first trailer for the series on the Prime Video YouTube channel earlier this year on January 19. The teaser depicts an absurd ad for Vought Burger, complete with blood, guts, and dark “NSFW” humor. Meanwhile, the first look shows Laser Baby taking out an entire SWAT team, leaving a slippery trail of blood behind her.
Another trailer dropped on February 17 that featured a better look at the various styles of animation used in the show. It included some anime, a little Disney parody, and more.
