The Black Keys have canceled their International Players Tour, originally planned for various arenas across North America starting in September. The tour included stops in major cities like New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, and Milwaukee, with the finale set for Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena.
The cancellation was not accompanied by a reason from the band, but all tour dates have been marked as canceled on Ticketmaster’s website.
The Black Keys have removed all tour dates from their website except for one performance scheduled for July 6 at NASCAR’s Chicago Street Race.
Despite inquiries, neither the band’s management nor publicity team has provided comments.
The duo, consisting of Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach, were preparing to start their tour in support of their latest album “Ohio Players,” released in April.
Recently, they performed “Beautiful People (Stay High)” on NBC’s “The Voice.” Additionally, their documentary “This Is a Film About the Black Keys,” premiered at SXSW, delving into the historical tensions and unity between the bandmates.
Auerbach described their dynamic as “two very opinionated, hard-headed people, trapped for eternity together.”
