The follow-up to one of the highest-rated comic book movies of recent years just received a major update. Mattson Tomlin, the writer of The Batman Part 2, shared new details with Screen Rant about when filming for the sequel will start.
After James Gunn became the new creative head of DC, there was concern about the future of The Batman. However, Gunn assured fans that different versions of the same character could exist, and The Batman would continue.
It has been over two years since The Batman was released, and fans have been eagerly waiting for news about the sequel. Tomlin revealed, “It’s shooting next year. We’re gearing up, and I will say that the bar couldn’t be higher… Matt Reeves is like no other… and he’s really trying to make something that matters.”
Tomlin also praised Matt Reeves for his directing and writing skills. He mentioned that during their five years of working together, he has learned as much as he could from Reeves to benefit his own career.
Reeves, known for his work on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes, has become a highly sought-after director. His success with The Batman demonstrated his talent.
