Many of the scenes of The Batman were filmed in the city of London because the city most suited the vibe that Matt Reeves was looking for in the movie. The exteriors of Two Temple Place were taken to hold the press conference outside of Major Mitchell’s house.
This mansion was built in the year 1895 and was known as Astor House for a long. What tourists love the most about this building is the neo-gothic architecture that serves as a major tourist attraction in London. Wellington’s Column
Wellington’s Column, based in Liverpool, became one of the significant locations for The Batman. Wellington column was built to honor the Duke Of Wellington and the works that he did for the people in the UK. This monument is also listed in the National Heritage List of England. If you ever visit William Brown Street in London, do not forget to click on some Insta-worthy vintage pictures at Wellington’s Column.
Moreover, many scenes were shot at William Brown Street as well. Especially for the film, William Brown Street, Lime Street, and many of the locations of the city were intelligently transformed into New York Time Square to have some amazing shots for the film.
St. George’s Hall
If you want to travel to London or to visit all The Batman filming locations, then Liverpool is the city you should definitely look for because many of the scenes of The Batman were filmed in Liverpool only. As mentioned earlier that Wellington’s Column, William Brown Street, and Lime Street became some of the major parts of filming locations of The Batman. Just like this, the exteriors of St. George’s Hall served as the Bank of Gotham.

St George’s Hall, built in 1854, is also a historical building consisting of neo-classic architecture. Architects Harvey Lonsdale Elmes and Charles Cockerell are the ones who made this beautiful neo-gothic structure that is watch-worthy for all the tourists who travel to Liverpool, England. This hall conducts various events and festivals frequently, and it was also registered under the Liverpool World Heritage Site but was revoked recently in the year 2021.
Adams & Wabash Station
Not only London but Batman was also filmed in the USA, particularly in Chicago. One of the shots of the elevated train station was taken at Adams & Wabash Subway station situated in Chicago. Adams & Wabash is one of the biggest “L” stations in Chicago which started its operations in the year 1896. Moreover, if you ever arrive in Chicago and this station, do not forget to pay a visit to the nearby Symphony Center, Art Institute of Chicago, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Marshall Suloway Bridge
Marshall Suloway Bridge, situated in Chicago, became a part of the Filming locations of The Batman when we saw Bruce riding his motorcycle on the Bridge. Even Marshall Suloway Bridge is one of the historical locations in Chicago because it was built back in 1928 by a steel company investing $2,500,000. Other Locations
Many of the locations in The Batman are inspired by the buildings and monuments in the USA, such as, The Wayne Tower is actually inspired by the Tribune Tower, and Batcave was inspired by the underground railways, which were being used by rich families in the 1900s in New York. Talking particularly about the Batcave, the team traveled to London from the US to take its interior shots.
The major part of the Batcave was artificially built in Warner Bros studios in London, and for the entrance of the Batcave, the filmmakers chose Kingsway Tramway Subway, which is also based in London. Penguin’ss Iceberg Lounge is actually a club named Printworks London based in England. Additionally, some of the parts of the club were artificially built in the Warner Bros Studios.
