Tencent Games is preparing for one of its biggest gamescom appearances yet, with more than 20 games, interactive attractions and new technology showcases planned for gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany. The company will take part in the event from August 26 to 30, while its Gamescom presence will begin with Opening Night Live on August 25. Tencent Games will also participate in gamescom dev on August 24, where company leaders and developers will discuss AI, graphics, machine learning, and game development technology.

According to Tencent Games, visitors will be able to try playable demos, explore interactive installations, and collect exclusive merchandise. The consumer booth will be located at Koelnmesse, Hall 8.1, Booth A-051-B-050, while Tencent will also maintain a major presence in the business area at Hall 4.2, Booth B035D. The 2026 showcase continues the company’s growing gamescom strategy, which has increasingly combined major game reveals with hands-on experiences and technology demonstrations.

Animula Nook and Honor of Kings Lead the Player Experiences

One of the most unusual attractions will be based on Animula Nook, the upcoming miniature community life simulator from LilliLandia Games. Tencent Games plans to feature an oversized plush Wupa alongside an exclusive hands-on demo, a photo experience involving the game’s Minies, and interactive stage activities. The virtual Animula Nook booth will also allow players who cannot attend gamescom to earn rewards connected to the event.

The Honor of Kings universe will have an even larger presence, with four titles represented by TiMi Studio Group. Newly revealed Honor of Kings: ACE will receive its first playable demo on PC and mobile, while Honor of Kings: World will return with a new demo. Visitors can also play Honor of Kings and Arena of Valor, participate in competitive activities, meet cosplayers and explore themed installations.

Tencent Games will also support the Playing for the Planet Alliance through activities involving Honor of Kings and Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Little Nightmares. The experience will offer practical ideas about making gaming setups more environmentally friendly while giving participants a chance to win prizes.

Rust Mobile Expands Beyond the Main Show Floor

Rust Mobile will bring its own major activities to Cologne. Developed by Tencent Games under an official license from Facepunch Studios, the mobile adaptation will feature stage events, themed prizes and cosplay appearances.

Gamescom Camp ticket holders will also be able to visit a Rust Mobile-themed tent at Jugendpark Köln between August 24 and 30. Three themed rickshaws will additionally travel through the gamescom area and Cologne, with fans able to enter a photo challenge for a chance to win a €200 gift card.

Tencent has continued to position Rust Mobile as a major expansion of the survival franchise, with the game retaining key elements such as exploration, PvP combat and base building.

Tencent Games Brings AI and Development Technology to gamescom

The company’s gamescom 2026 plans extend well beyond new games. Tencent Games Central Tech will make its gamescom debut with technology including Motus AI, GIGA, Tencent Games Vox, MagicDawn, Anti-Cheat Expert, GVoice and WeTest.

Developers from Tencent will deliver sessions covering generative AI for 3D character animation, autonomous AI agents in FPS games, global illumination for open-world development and scalable AI-driven testing. LightSpeed Studios will also showcase LAP, its in-house AI platform for game asset generation, with limited beta access expected to open in September.

“We are heading into gamescom 2026 with unprecedented momentum across the games lineup, strength of IP and tech innovation,”

said Yihang Luo, Head of Tencent Games Brand.

“Our presence at this year’s show reflects our commitment to backing exceptional talent and our passion for connecting directly with millions of players around the world.”
