The Ten Pound Poms Episode 1 release date is most awaited by the fans. This is an upcoming historical drama series that has been commissioned by BBC One for their channel. Stan also has a share in the same. The drama series will see a British cast, such as Michelle Keegan and Faye Marsay, along with Warren Brown, who are citizens of Britain. Although, they migrate to Australia after the Second World War. There will only be six episodes in the first season, and right now, there is no news about a second one.
A synopsis has been released by the creators of the series. It will focus on a group of Britons who are known as Poms. These are the families who have migrated to Australia and New Zealand after the war was over. The timeline is set in 1956. These folks were promised better life and opportunities for their kids at just 10 pounds. Although, as the poms reach the island, life here is not as great as they initially imagined it to be.
They will have to adjust to a new sort of life which is tougher than their previous ones. Obviously, they were not born on this land, and thus, adjusting to the communities is pretty tough. The new life in a new country from Britain is going to be tough when they are given a permanent title if immigrants. Everything will be unfamiliar, and making a life in such a scenario will be a hard task for the folks.
