A well-known character from The Boys comic books will play in a TV show. In the new trailer for ‘Gen V’ released this week, actor Derek Wilson, who was in Future Man, will play the role of Tek Knight in the spinoff series set in a college.
Entertainment Weekly has exclusively confirmed this information, and they also provided a first look at Derek Wilson’s performance.
Writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson made the comics. They showed this super-powered person as part of a group called Payback.
His special thing was wearing a solid suit of armor to fight with his team members, like Soldier Boy, Crimson Countess, and Stormfront. But, in the three seasons of Amazon’s The Boys TV show, they have used elements from the comics in different ways, as we have already seen.
What will the new season offer?
In season 3, they showed the Payback team in the TV series, but Tek Knight was not part of it. However, if you remember, they talked about him in season 1. In a group of regular people who got hurt because of superheroes, one woman talked about how Tek Knight once saved her from a hostage situation, but he accidentally hurt her spine, leaving her unable to move.

The character will finally step into the spotlight and appear in a live-action role in Gev V. This show is about the students at Godolkin University, which is a top college for young superheroes run by Vought. They have not revealed much about how Tek Knight fits into the story yet.
Wilson is already connected to The Boys group of people. He acted as Donnie, “Bunny Man” Schenk in AMC’s Preacher, which was made by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and they later worked on The Boys with Eric Kripke.
Interestingly, Preacher is also based on a comic by Ennis. Now, Rogen, Goldberg, and Kripke are executive producers for Gen V, and the first season is overseen by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters.
When is Gen V coming, and who stars in the new season?
The first three episodes of Gen V’s eight-episode season will be available on Prime Video starting 29. Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, who has the power to control and use blood as a weapon. She comes to Godolkin with the dream of joining the Seven, a top hero team led by Homelander.
At Godolkin, she meets other super-powered individuals like Luke Riordan/Golden Boy (played by Patrick Schwarzenegger), who can control metal. Andre Anderson (Chance Perdomo), who can change the size of objects; Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway), who can make herself smaller.
Jordan Li (played by both London Thor and Derek Luh), who can change gender; Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips), who can control minds. And Sam (Asa Germann), a strongman with personal troubles.
Shelley Conn, Marco Pigossi, Sean Patrick Thomas, Clancy Brown, and Jason Ritter will also be in the show. Some actors from The Boys, like Jessie T. Usher (A-Train), Chace Crawford (The Deep), Claudia Doumit (Congresswoman Victoria Neuman), Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett), and P.J. Byrne (Adam Bourke) will be back in their familiar roles.
