Taylor Swift has contributed $100,000 to the family of the woman tragically shot during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade, as confirmed by a representative for the singer.
On Friday morning, two separate donations of $50,000 each, made in Taylor Swift’s name, were noted on a GoFundMe page established for Lisa Lopez-Galvan’s family.
Lisa, a beloved local radio host and mother of two, lost her life in the tragic incident. The donation message expresses Swift’s heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the grieving family:
“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”
Swift attended the Super Bowl on Sunday, supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Kelce’s team emerged victorious against the San Francisco 49ers. In the aftermath of the parade shooting, Kelce, along with other NFL players, honored the victims.
The GoFundMe page was initiated on Thursday afternoon with the aim of providing crucial financial assistance to Lopez-Galvan’s family. Initially targeting $75,000, the fund has exceeded expectations, surpassing $230,000 at the time of this report.
The fundraiser organizer emphasized that Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade when the tragic incident occurred.
“She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life. This fund will help provide vital financial support to her family as they process this unthinkable tragedy. Any amount is appreciated.”
