Taylor Swift isn’t leaving Singapore anytime soon! On Sunday evening, the 34-year-old “All Too Well” singer captivated a crowd of approximately 55,000 fans at the Singapore National Stadium.
Amidst her performance during the second show, Swift, seated at her piano, revealed the fourth and final iteration of her forthcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
A fan’s post on X (formerly known as Twitter) displayed an image of the latest album version projected behind Taylor Swift on stage. The bonus track for this edition, titled “The Black Dog,” was revealed, accompanied by previously unseen artwork featuring Swift running her hands through her hair.
The pop sensation further disseminated the news on Instagram, sharing an image of the artwork showcased during her performance.
“Old habits die screaming…’ File Name: The Black Dog,” she wrote, adding, “Pre-order the final new edition of THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT with exclusive bonus track ‘The Black Dog’ on my website now.”
Swift also featured a second image in her post, showcasing the track listing of the album. This image displayed a separate shot of Swift, accompanied by the words “Old habits die screaming” written across it.
On February 23, Taylor Swift announced the third special edition of her album during an Eras Tour show in Sydney. This edition includes the bonus track “The Albatross.”
The second version, which features the bonus track “The Bolter,” was revealed during Swift’s Melbourne show on February 16.
The initial announcement of the new album occurred during the singer’s acceptance speech at the 2024 Grammy Awards on February 4, where she won best pop vocal album for “Midnights.” The first version of the album includes the bonus track “The Manuscript.”
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s Sunday performance was the second of six shows scheduled in Singapore.
She is set to perform another show on Monday night before taking a two-day break. Swift will then return to the Eras Tour stage on Thursday for three additional nights.
On Saturday, Swift expressed her fondness for Singapore, revealing its special significance due to her mom, Andrea Swift.
“My mom actually spent a lot of her childhood with her mom and dad and sister growing up in Singapore,” she told the crowd, as captured in a video posted on X.
“So a lot of the time when we’d come here on tour, my mom would take me and drive me past her old house, where she used to go to school. So I’ve been hearing about Singapore my whole life,” she added.
Before arriving in Singapore, Taylor Swift delighted her fans in Sydney, Australia, describing her time in the city as “magical” in an Instagram post. During her stay, Swift faced a weather delay that resulted in the cancellation of her set for one night.
Despite this setback, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter, Sabrina Carpenter, joined Swift on stage for a memorable mashup performance of Swift’s songs “White Horse” and “Coney Island.”
During her time in Sydney, Taylor Swift embraced mashups as a surprise element in her sets. In her third show, she treated fans to a captivating medley combining her song “Haunted” with “Exile” from her 2020 album “Folklore.”
On the same night, Swift also delighted the audience with a mashup featuring the 2023 release of the vault track “Is It Over Now?” from “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” intertwined with “I Wish You Would,” another track from the same album.
Taylor Swift’s performances in Sydney attracted a star-studded audience of 81,000 fans at Accor Stadium, including celebrities like Katy Perry, Rebel Wilson, and Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl champion tight end, 34, went the extra mile by distributing guitar picks to Swift’s fans during her first show in Sydney, a role typically reserved for her father, Scott.
