As Alanis Morissette recently performed as part of the 25th anniversary of her iconic Jagged Little Pill album, which had been pushed back initially amid COVID-19 concerns. The Canadian singer-songwriter is currently on a road tour which is part of her ‘Jagged Little Pill’ anniversary tour.
The tour had to be rescheduled due to the pandemic. Fans were in for a surprise as, towards the end of her set, Morissette performed her hit 1996 single ‘Ironic,’ and soon there were displaying images of Hawkins on a screen behind her. Once the song was over, there was a message reading “In Memory Of Taylor Hawkins” which flashed up on the screen under a photo of the late drummer.

Recently during a concert, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl invited the late drummer’s 16-year-old son, Oliver Shane Hawkins, and asked him to play drums as the band performed My Hero on stage. As Shane Hawkins paid his father a tribute at the same time, photos of Shane and his dad appeared on a giant screen behind the band during their performance, which was an emotional moment for all.

Dave Grohl admitted that he never thought Hawkins would leave Morissette, and that’s the reason why he asked Hawkins if he knew of any good drummers.
