The wait for the fans of the beloved supernatural Korean drama Tale Of The Nine-Tailed sequel was over with the release of Tale Of The Nine-Tailed 1938 on May 6, 2023, by tvN network. Directed by Kang Shin-hyo and Jo Nam-hyung, the series follows the handsome Gumiho, Lee Yeon, who managed to steal hearts with his looks and brilliant performance in the first season of the series.
Created by Studio Dragon, the series focuses on Lee Yeon accidentally going back in 1938 as he was working on a case. This new season of The Tale of The Nine-Tailed is set in a vintage aesthetic, and unlike the first season, the sequel is full of suspense, horror, and amazing humor timing.
The audience also gets to witness the love-hate relationship the two brothers, Lee Yeon and Lee Rang, share between them. The fantasy series is produced by Lee Hye-young under How Pictures and Studio Dragon. Fans are all praises for the sequel of Tale Of The Nine-Tailed as they witness a different plotline than before. Tale Of The Nine-Tailed 1938- Episode 6 Synopsis
The 6th episode of Tale Of The Nine-Tailed starts with a reunion between Moo-young and Yeon [Lee Doo-wook], and Yeon doubts the return of his friend. As the two friends are talking to each other, Yeon takes his sword out and attacks Moo-young [ Ryu Kyung-soo], leading to the pair fighting at the same time Hong-joo [Kim So-yeon] makes an entrance at the scene as she is informed about the fight by her subordinates begging her two best friends to stop fighting. When her begging doesn’t work, she uses her sword and makes the duo stop.
As everything is going on, the flashback takes the audience back in time to when a young Yeo, Moo-young, and Hong-Joo make a pack using Taluipa’s comb. Each of the three friends has possession of one piece of the Taluipa’s comb. Before the fight began, Moo-young presented his piece of Taluipa’s comb to Yeon to prove his existence. Hong-Joo pulls out her sword leaving a bleeding Yeon to admit to killing Moo-yeong’s brother the day when the four mountain deities were killed.
Yeon passes out due to the blood loss, thus leaving the decision of either killing him or reviving him in Moo-yeong’s hands. At the same time, Rang continues to grow closer to Yeo-hee, and after they spend a night out eating together, Yeo-hee promises to protect him after Rang compliments her combative skills. Rang keeps a watch on her to ensure her safety till Yeo-hee reaches her home.
Rang [Kim Bum], pretends not to care about Yeo-hee, but he does care about her. Shin-joo is shocked to see familiar faces when he arrives at the heart of the rebellion accompanied by Eun-ho. Meanwhile, Mu-yeong helps his best friend live by giving his blood to Yeon while he reveals his plans about using Yeon to rectify the past to Hong-Joo. Moo-Yeong doesn’t reveal everything to his friends, but it is known to the audience that he made a deal with the tricksy God residing in the Underworld.
Yeon heals and wakes up, following Moo-yeong into the courtyard, where he confronts him to reveal his intentions. Moo-yeong reveals to Yeon that he was looking for the cure to the stone disease which was spreading across his chest. The town is troubled by Gisaengs, who notice the arrival of the new straw shoes and consider it to be an ill-omen. The episode ends with the audience left to question whether Yeon and Moo-Yeong were killed or not after they vanished from the room with the patchwork and entered the scene with several women sword fighting.
Tale Of The Nine-Tailed Episode 7 Preview
The 7th episode will witness Yeon and Mu-Yeong engulfed in a disorienting realm where the surroundings reflect the trapped individual’s memories which further causes a surge of disturbing and infuriating recollections of memories.
This further escalates the emotional turmoil faced by Yeon and Mu-Yeong, despite which the pair has to put their struggle aside as they have to rescue Hong-joo before Jang San-beam marries her and makes her his bride. Another crucial task unfolds between the duo in their supernatural worlds as they are on their way to rescue Hang-joo, where Rang gets trusted with the responsibility of safeguarding, a highly significant during in a scheduled room.
A twist will take place in the 7th episode as the audience will get to see Yeon and Moo-yeong being thrust into a confrontation against each other, thus leading them to confront their issues. The audience will get to see whether or not Yeon and Moo-Yeong will be able to overcome their challenges.
