Taj: Divided by Blood Season 2 Episode 4 Recap
Let’s do a brief recap of everything that has happened in this series so far because there’s a lot to unpack. Firstly we did a time jump of over a decade since the war began. And while the Mughal Empire seems to be quietly prospering and at peace, Akbar isn’t at peace and plans to move on. We saw how Akbar visited Sheikh Salim Chsti in search of some tips as to how to fulfill his plans. Meanwhile, we see that Daniyal sits —not so quietly— waiting for his turn to sit on the throne when something makes him turn his head, and that’s when Prince Salim comes back and is now in court.
As we move forward with the plot, we see that there was a mass troop movement across the kingdom to put a halt to the Bandit Prince in an impressively choreographed and delightfully produced sequence. Then, we move on to Mehrunnisa. She has a soft spot for Prince Salim and, with her charms, manages to get Jodha on her side to move forward. But that’s not all because Abul Fazl noticed her intentions and began to conspire in a very covert manner against them.
After all that, we see how Akbar puts together a team armed to the teeth with the aim of reuniting his friends and family. And what to say of Mehrunissa? She managed to get into the heart and soft spot of Salim as the Prince managed to get the upside of the kingdom. As Mehrunissa fully commits to bringing Salim to power, she infiltrates Akbar’s harem, but that won’t come as an easy task.
