Back on the Mamanuca Islands for yet another tough competition is the cast of the reality show Survivor. In the middle of airing its forty-fifth season, the show has high tensions and a lot of drama. Stuck on an isolated island for twenty-six days while trying to beat each other for survival, things will get twisted.
Since the pandemic, the show has continued with its safety precautions, having reduced the number of days the castaways have to stay on the island. Not just this, fans must have already noticed that the island itself has become a constant on the show, with this season being the thirteenth one that was filmed there.
Knowing that many would be upset if the show did not do proper justice to a former cast member of the last season of the show, Bruce Perreault, the producers of the show announced that they would be bringing back the man to give him another chance on the show. Unfortunately, he had to drop out of the show in the previous season due to a medical emergency.
Over the episodes, the producers have introduced a variety of tasks and challenges, testing the limits and potentials of the cast members. They have made use of games and physical activities to decide who gets to stay and who gets sent home.
Each episode also has an immunity challenge, usually at the end, which helps the members save themselves from getting thrown out of the show. All set to air its final episode, fans are excited to see who will take the winning title and the grand prize of a million dollars.
Recap
With just the finale of the show left, fans have started guessing and discussing just might bag the prize for this season of Survivor. In the last episode, we saw Katurah, Austin, and Dee go on a hunt for an idol to help them save themselves from getting eliminated from the show.
The reward challenge brought with itself a nice day picnic as a reward for the winners of the task, which did not look easy at all. Having to roll barrels using their feet, all while collecting a bunch of keys and then solving a puzzle at the end of it, we know we could not have completed it all.
Thankfully, one of our favorite members, Austin, won the task and, without a surprise, chose to go with Dee and Katurah to the picnic. Drew, Jake, and Julie were left behind to plot their next moves, and it was during this time that Jake got his hands on an idol that the other three had been searching for so desperately. He promised to do something big with it.
Then came the immunity challenge, the importance of which has increased by tenfold now. The task was to balance oneself on one foot while trying to keep the ball attached to the beam with the other foot. Dee won this task, thus saving herself.
At the time of voting, Dee was safe, and Austin used his idol to save himself. Though no votes were cast against him, Jake and Julie planned on blindsiding Drew, and so did Dee and Katurah. Austin and his buddy Drew attacked Julie, but unfortunately, it was Drew who ended up getting eliminated from the show.
We are finally left with just five castaways on the island, including Austin, Dee, Jake, Julie, and Katurah. Don’t miss out on the upcoming episode of the series to catch the winner of the season.
