Supergirl Season 6 kinda wraps up most of the storylines we were having for the entirety of the season. The whole season was more like a race between Supergirl and Nxly to hunt down the totems that may form an All-stone. Something that will give Nxly the power to take over the whole world. Supergirl wasn’t willing to let that happen, and she went to lengths to even destroy one of the totems. This way, the All-stone couldn’t complete. The arrival of Luthor from the future changed the game, though, and we wonder if we are in for more with Supergirl Season 6 Episode 21.
In the future, Nxly and Luthor were quite a power couple, and with his technology, All-stone wasn’t a distant dream. They decided to go personal by kidnapping Esme, who had the love totem inside her—even killing William in the process. This had come to the final battle with Nxly and Luthor, and Supergirl needed all the help she could get. From empowering the humans to be the hero of their own to faces from the past returning, here is a look at what went down recently on Supergirl Season 6 Episode 21.
Supergirl S06 E20 Recap
Previously on Supergirl Season 6, we opened up with Lena observing humanity and bidding adieu to Lillian, who asks her to accept magic, thus breaking away from Luthor. Meanwhile, Supergirl plans to empower humans to become the hero of their own. With the help of Legion’s crown and Lena’s magic to break the mental defense of humans. The humans receive Supergirl’s message. This results in Luthor and Nxly coming out as Supergirl’s team confront them.
Lex Luthor brought his own party to the table but what he didn’t see was another super party receiving Supergirl’s message. The likes of Mon-El, Winn, and James Olsen return to join the team of Supergirl for one final battle. Acrata arrives too, followed by Alex’s mother and lastly, Mitch ditching Nxly’s team.
Nxly opts to call Phantoms towards the end of the battle. The humans of National City come to aid Supergirl’s team. Phantoms feed on fear, and therefore they pick up Nxly and Luthor instead, who are afraid of Supergirl’s team getting bigger time and again. Following the battle, we see a funeral for William, who sacrificed his life to protect Esme from Nxly and Luthor.
The episode closed with some good news. The President is reconstituting DEO. Cat Grant buys Cat Co. again and offers Kara a job as the editor-in-chief. Then we come today of Alex and Kelly’s marriage. Brainy, who was supposed to return to the future to merge with The Big Brain, came back. He wants to be with the love of his life Nia and is ready to take a shot at what goes down if he doesn’t go to the future.
Also, J’onn and M’gann have a son. Lena becomes Esme’s godmother. Mxy is alive. Kara is questioned on choosing who she wants to be. The wedding ends, and the team celebrates one-night playing charades. Cat Grant appears on the TV to reveal Supergirl’s secret identity to close the show.
