“Strictly Come Dancing: It takes two,” a British television program created by BBC studios, is a substitute for the program “Strictly Come Dancing,” which was formerly presented by Justin Lee Collins. On October 25, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. on BBC Two, the program debuted. However, the program returned for a twentieth season after nineteen productive ones. The live concerts began airing the following day, on September 24, 2022, after the inaugural episode aired on September 23, 2022.
According to information released by the BBC network in May 2022, Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Bake have all joined the panel once again as judges. Due to travel constraints related to Covid-19, Bruno Tonioli had to miss the first two seasons of this television show. He has now declared his permanent departure from the program.
Following this announcement, another one was made announcing the coming of four additional professional dancers who would be joining the current ones. Vito Coppola, who had remained a dancer in a separate edition of the competition—likely the Italian version—was introduced as one of the new entrants. The other new dancers included Lauren Oakley, an Under 21 British National Champion, Michelle Tsiakkas, a Latin dance champion, and Carlos Gu, a Chinese National winner.
In addition, Kym Marsh and Will Maynor joined the program for the upcoming season. Every Saturday, the show follows the interviews with pictures from the contestants’ final performance. The judges provide their assessments on the previous week’s performance every Saturday.
The 30-minute show has an extended live performance on Friday that lasts an hour. It airs every week from Monday through Thursday. Rylan and dance sensation Janette Manrara returned as presenters for the show’s return on September 26 for a brand-new season. While Claudia does her hardest to interview each participant one-on-one to get their thoughts and input, the celebrities and judges also provide their opinions on the show.
