Streets of Rage 4 DLC is finally out! Fans of the franchise had been waiting for the DLC’s arrival, and now fans can finally get their hands on it. While the game was released back in 2020, many DLCs have been released to keep the game updated. Recently, Kentaro Miura, the mangaka of the famous manga series Berserk, had passed away. And the Developers Dotemu has even decided to pay tribute to him by adding a sword similar to that wielded by Guts in the series. While the DLC did show promise, a problem has occurred during the release. And in this article, we will cover that as well as the new features that have arrived in the game.

Streets of Rage 4 is a game developed by Dotemu, Guard Crush Games, and Lizardcube. This game essentially is a beat ’em up game that takes upon a similar gameplay style to its predecessors. And unlike them, this version can be plated by a maximum of four payers at the same time, be it online or locally. And now, with the release of DLC 4, some new things have been added to the game.

Streets of Rage 4 DLC Release Date

Streets of Rage 4 DLC has already been released worldwide on all platforms on 15th July 2021. The only exclusion that occurred in terms of the release of Streets of Rage 4 DLC is with the Nintendo Switch version. More about this will be discussed below. Nevertheless, Streets of Rage 4 was initially released on 30th April 2020 for Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, the game was also released on macOS and Linux in 2020 itself. Other than this, Streets of Rage 4 was released on Google Stadia on 15th July 2021, along with the DLC. And according to several reports, Streets of Rage 4 will also be getting its physical Anniversary Edition to be released by Merge Games Ltd. on 24th September 2021. This will be made available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Streets of Rage 4 DLC Unavailable on Nintendo Switch

All fans of the franchise highly anticipated streets of Rage 4 DLC, but unfortunately, there have been some issues occurring regarding the DLC for the Nintendo Switch users. This problem has only occurred with this platform. Meanwhile, all other platforms are able to access the DLC without an issue. Actually, there is a technical issue that is preventing players of the game from purchasing the game from the Nintendo Switch eShop.

The game developer Dotemu has addressed the issue and has made a statement on it. So, Dotemu, Guard Crush Games, and Lizardcube have come together to put all hands on deck to resolve this problem quickly. Considering that this issue was only pointed out at the time of release, Dotemu is hoping that they could come up with a fix in the following days. This issue was unprecedented and may even get fixed sooner, so no time has been scheduled for the same. Until then, the Developers will keep updating the progress on their social media accounts.

New Characters And Features in the Game

The new Downloadable content is called the “Mr. X Nightmare.” This DLC has come with four additional playable characters. These include Estel Aguirre, which will be a version of Roo from Streets of Rage 3. Along with this, there will also be other versions of Max Thunder and Shiva. There is also the introduction of a new Game Mode called the Survival Mode. Here, like several Zombie games, you must fight out waves of enemies as you try to unlock new weapons and moves. This DLC also comes with a new music track which has been composed by Tee Lopes.

New Characters.

Along with the Mr. X Nightmare DLC, there is also a free update that will be adding several new color palettes. This patch will be addressing a lot of issues regarding characters in the game. It will help balance the game, providing buffs and nerfs to each character in the roster. Along with all this, there is also a new training mode and an all-new difficulty level called “New Mania+.” In May, Streets of Rage 4 DLC saw the arrival of Shiva to the beat-’em-up.
