Stray Kids’ leader Bang Chan has once again demonstrated his deep commitment to philanthropy by contributing a total of 200 million won (approximately $144,296) to two meaningful charitable causes.
On September 19, 2026, JYP Entertainment officially revealed that the artist recently split the funds evenly, donating 100 million won (approximately $72,148) to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and another 100 million won to the Korean Committee for UNICEF.
The generous contributions aim to support specialized medical facilities domestically while providing crucial emergency aid to communities affected by natural disasters internationally.
Sharing his personal motivations through his agency, Bang Chan expressed his desire to offer comfort to those facing adversity, stating,
“I wanted to provide even the slightest comfort to those going through difficult and exhausting times.”
He further added his hopes for a swift recovery for impacted individuals, noting,
“I sincerely hope that many people will be able to return to peaceful daily lives as quickly as possible.”
Targeted Allocation for Specialized Medical Care and International Disaster Aid
The two equal allocations of 100 million won have been specifically designated to address critical healthcare needs in South Korea and emergency relief operations abroad:
- Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital: Bang Chan’s 100 million won gift will fund the establishment of a “specialized custom rehabilitation center.” This facility is designed to tailor medical treatments and physical therapy programs directly to patients’ specific ages and underlying medical conditions.
- Korean Committee for UNICEF: The remaining 100 million won has been earmarked specifically for emergency relief and recovery operations in Nepal, providing direct aid and support to children and families in regions devastated by recent severe flooding.

On October 3, 2025, Bang Chan celebrated his birthday by donating a total of 200 million won split between Samsung Medical Center and UNICEF to cover treatment costs for pediatric and adolescent patients globally.
Additionally, his philanthropic work earned him membership in the Community Chest of Korea’s prestigious “Honor Society” high-donor group in 2024 following a 100 million won donation dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
