The legendary Texas Rattlesnake, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, has teased a potential dream match against CM Punk during his second run in the WWE, and the wrestling world is exploding with anticipation.
Fans are eager to see Austin square off against the “Second City Saint” because he has expressed interest in returning to the ring after facing Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 in 2022.
Austin recently acknowledged his respect for CM Punk and talked about the possibility of competing against him in the squared circle in an interview with ESPN, which was conducted to promote the upcoming WWE 2K24.
The WWE Hall of Famer highlighted in jest that Punk would have to resist a Stone Cold Stunner, but he also acknowledged the mutual respect between them.
“I think punk likes me, and I like punk. Thus, as long as he’s able to handle a [stone cold] stunt,” Austin laughed. “He’s a terrific wrestler with a fantastic career who I think makes a great buddy.
