Corporal Lee Hyunwook informed their battalion commander that he had heard that during his first mission, he had lost all his platoon members.
Lee Hyunwook told him that was the reason he could not figure out why he was ordering him to join the combat squad. Just for the sake of the test, even though he was a lowly corporal of the support squad.
Lee Hyunwook asked the battalion commander if he also considered the regular soldiers replaceable. The battalion commander told him there was a misunderstanding and tried to explain to him why the attack squad directly under him had to follow him.
Lee Hyunwook told the battalion commander that if it was his order, he would follow it without question. He could not bring himself to tell him that he already knew the future.
He was feeling frustrated because of his current situation. He explained to the battalion commander that he did not want any casualties.
Because of his lack of experience, he cannot command someone else’s squad. Lee Hyunwook assured him he was very grateful that the battalion commander had high expectations of him.
But he could not put the lives of his comrades in danger, so he disobeyed his order. Lee Hyunwook’s superior shouted at him and reminded him that defiance was a capital offense during wartime.
The battalion commander told him that since he was insisting so much, he permitted Lee Hyunwook to go ahead with the original support mission.
But he mentioned that Lee Hyunwook had to deal with the consequences of disobeying orders later, like a true soldier. Lee Hyunwook went on the mission, but he could not see his surroundings because of the toxic gas. He was wondering if he was too late for the mission.
He was hoping that Junmo would take everyone and run away from the location. Ahn Mintae was attacked by the kobolds. He was calling for private Park Junmo, but even after he attacked them.
The kobolds were not moving away, so Park Junmo asked the other soldiers to get inside the box and take Ahn Mintae away with them.

The soldiers managed to secure Private Ahn Mintae; their vice platoon leader was losing her senses after witnessing the attack. But private Junmo told her to get back to work; he understood that she was only twenty years old and it was her first mission after the appointment.
But they’re not in a situation where he could do anything for the support squad’s soldiers. They were running out of ammo, and the soldiers were on their last magazine.
Park Junmo was not sure what they should do; he was wondering if they were all going to die in there. He decided to think like Corporal Lee Hyunwook and figure out what he would have done in that situation.
Ahn Mintae needed immediate medical attention because of his injuries. The soldier asked the vice platoon leader to provide him with aid.
They were also running out of ammo. Private Junmo informed the soldiers that kobolds were abscessed with shiny things.
So he decided to go ahead and attack them to lure them away. So that all platoon members could get out of there with the vice platoon member and the injured soldiers.
