We saw how Ben was still on vacation in the last episode, and Kate Powell took his spot. She was renowned for speaking without thinking. While it was humorous in some spots, some of it was outright offensive.
She made an attempt to make fun of the friendship between Fire Chief Ross and Sullivan. She informed him that he wasn’t the first person to rise to the top through sleeping.

Recap
In the recent episode, we saw that there were a lot of people who wanted to punish the fire chief. They intended to make fun of her. Dixon was among the few people who were pushing for her to resign.
He never quite forgot how she embarrassed him in front of the media. Dixon lacked enough influence to secure a television appearance on his own. He wanted this in order to use it to advance himself.
Powell was making jokes while all of this was going on. She was warned to back off by Andy. She wasn’t really pleased with Sullivan’s months-long deceit toward her. Despite being divorced, she still considered them friends in addition to coworkers.
She longed to be by his side. She wished to support the continued employment of Seattle’s first female fire chief, and it was Sullivan who gave off the impression that he wasn’t eager to support his girlfriend.
Because of his resentment toward her for informing the union about them, Sullivan wanted to leave her to fend for herself. She claimed that while he ought to have been backing Ross, he had turned it all about him.
The mayor has requested that Ross resign soon. Andy didn’t want Ross’ legacy to be the subject of controversy. Ross didn’t want to appear desperate, but she was determined to persuade the mayor to reverse his decision.
When Captain Beckett returned to Station 19, the whole staff started to deal with him. We also learned that Beckett is receiving alcohol therapy. And as a result, he was placed on probation. He might have lost his job for being intoxicated at work, so going to therapy saved his career.
Before returning to his previous position as captain, Beckett must successfully complete his probation. In the meantime, he was working with Theo. Theo remained the acting captain, but he was in the driver’s seat when a collision occurred on the highway.
The car he was driving hit a group of teens as they were going formal dress shopping. An elderly man and his wife were in the other automobile. In an effort to save everyone, the firefighters arrived on the scene. Sadly, they were unable to save one.
