Japanese dance and vocal group STARGLOW is expanding its musical reach with two exciting releases that showcase different sides of the five-member act.

While members TAIKI, KANON and ADAM have explored the gaming world through a cover of HEARTSTEEL’s “Live My Life,” the group has also released its energetic new single “Slam Dunk” ahead of its first full-length album, Aurora.

The digital single arrived on October 26, 2026, accompanied by an official music video that puts the group’s choreography and performance skills in the spotlight.

The release is part of the promotional campaign for Aurora, which is scheduled to arrive on November 18.

The two projects offer contrasting perspectives on STARGLOW.

The HEARTSTEEL cover introduces three members to a song connected to the popular multiplayer game League of Legends, while “Slam Dunk” presents the complete group through an original hip-hop track built around basketball imagery and a message of determination.

Together, the releases highlight the group’s interest in exploring different creative formats as it continues building its presence in Japan’s music industry.

TAIKI, KANON and ADAM Cover HEARTSTEEL’s “Live My Life”

STARGLOW members TAIKI, KANON and ADAM have released a cover of “Live My Life,” a song originally performed by HEARTSTEEL, the virtual music group created by Riot Games using characters from League of Legends.

The cover video includes footage of the three STARGLOW members recording the song in a studio, giving viewers a closer look at their vocal performances and the process behind the collaboration.

“Live My Life” is known for its bright, refreshing sound and message about living freely while remaining true to oneself.

The song’s emphasis on individuality makes it a fitting choice for a cover that brings together artists from Japan’s contemporary dance-and-vocal scene and a virtual group associated with a major gaming franchise.

Rather than presenting the track as a conventional performance video, the released footage focuses on the recording process and the members’ individual contributions.

It offers fans an opportunity to hear TAIKI, KANON and ADAM interpret a song that already has an identity within the wider League of Legends music universe.

HEARTSTEEL is part of Riot Games’ broader approach to music, which combines its gaming characters with original songs and virtual artist concepts.

The project has attracted attention from both gaming audiences and music fans, making the cover an opportunity for STARGLOW to connect with listeners beyond its existing fanbase.

The collaboration also demonstrates the versatility of the three members, who approach a song with a different sound and message from the group’s latest original release.

“Slam Dunk” Prepares STARGLOW for First Album ‘Aurora’

Released on October 26, “Slam Dunk” is the latest advance single from STARGLOW’s debut full-length album, Aurora.

The track was created by David Arkwright and SKY-HI and is an energetic hip-hop number built around basketball as its central motif.

The song uses the sport as a metaphor for overcoming obstacles, challenging expectations and creating a future through individual effort and teamwork.

Its message reflects the determination of the five members as they continue developing their identity as a group.

The accompanying music video reinforces that concept with a striking visual setting.

In one sequence, the members perform on top of a basketball hoop suspended above the ground, creating a dramatic image that connects the sport’s imagery with the song’s theme of reaching greater heights.

The choreography is another major element of the release.

The performance was choreographed by ReiNa, a member of dance team RHT, and features demanding movements designed to highlight the synchronisation and physical energy of the entire group.

Slam Dunk will appear on Aurora, which is set to feature 14 tracks, including previously released songs and new material.

The album will also include the unit tracks “1 of 1,” performed by TAIKI and GOICHI, and “Cherry,” featuring RUI, KANON and ADAM.

Following the album’s release, STARGLOW is scheduled to embark on its first arena tour in January 2027.

The tour, titled STARGLOW 1st Arena Tour 2027 Aurora – The Dawn -, will span seven cities and 14 performances across Japan.

With the HEARTSTEEL cover introducing a gaming-related musical collaboration and “Slam Dunk” highlighting the full group’s performance strengths, STARGLOW is building momentum ahead of its first album.

The upcoming Aurora release will bring these different creative directions together as the five-member group enters its next stage.
