Star Trek: Legends has officially been removed from the Nintendo Switch eShop, ending new purchases of the Star Trek strategy RPG on Nintendo’s hybrid console. Players who already own the game can continue accessing it for now, including redownloading it if they previously deleted the title.
The delisting is part of a larger shutdown plan announced by the game’s developers. According to a notice shared on the game’s official Steam page, Star Trek: Legends will eventually be removed from all digital storefronts before being taken offline completely in September 2026.
Star Trek: Legends prepares for final shutdown
In the announcement, the developers thanked fans who supported the game since its launch and confirmed that the title would be sunset.
“Every mission must eventually reach its final frontier,”
the team wrote. They added that they were grateful to players who helped build teams, recruit characters from across the Star Trek universe, and explore the game’s story.
The game will no longer be available for download from digital stores starting August 20, 2026. Players who already downloaded Star Trek: Legends before that date will be able to continue playing until September 3, 2026, when the game will officially become unavailable.
Originally released as a tactical RPG featuring characters from multiple eras of Star Trek, the game allowed players to command the U.S.S. Artemis and create teams featuring iconic heroes and villains from the franchise.
The shutdown follows other recent delistings of Star Trek games on Nintendo Switch, including Star Trek: Resurgence, which was removed from the platform earlier in 2026.
