Now, the comedy in this manhwa has always been hit or miss as it relies less on jokes and relies more on physical type. Though, it is Baek and his work as an instructor that carries the story.
And speaking of him, he is rather sparse in appearance in the last few chapters, with his students taking the space most of the time. He mostly shows up when things get hard for them or they are in jeopardy, just as the case was with them getting involved with the Ice Witch that almost killed one of Baek’s students.
But that is a foregone story with all of his students surviving, getting over the hurdle that was thrown at them. But as we said earlier, the coming arc will be peaceful as the focus is on winning people. And given their reputation, the characters will do that by not becoming better people but with a bit of an election bribe.

Star Instructor, Master Baek Chapter 85 saw one of the senior disciples of Baek going to a club and making a formal request. He is the one that stands out the most among all the disciples. Not because he is the strongest or the most impulsive but rather because his dress resembles that of a sailor school uniform for girls see in Japan.
But regardless of that, he goes to a club and asks that he be allowed to take part in the festival. He had gone to do it because the reputation of his fellow disciples was at stake. And for that, he was even willing to take some hits from the people he knew he had been indignant to.
If there is one thing about this manhwa, it is how none of the characters in the series are exactly right in the head. These people follow the old rule for sure, but they are a little too much on the physical end. And thus, we see characters acting brash and using their fists over their head, even though martial arts is supposed to come with a philosophy.

However, it is a medieval world and one where people don’t use their heads much.
Moreover, a lot of things are based on chances rather than chances unless you are part of Baek’s group, who have things easier than everyone else.
Makes for a good martial art fantasy, but these tropes are starting to get too repetitive, and that may be why we have an MC that is the teacher rather than the unparalleled discipline. Which does make things look more realistic, but then there are many awkward moments among them as well.
