Plot
Spy x Family revolves around Loid Forger and his family. At first look, it seems like a normal family: a father, a mother, a daughter, and a dog. However, the reality of the family is far complicated. Loid Forger is an undercover spy codenamed Twilight. To resolve a mission titled ‘Operation Strix,’ he forms this fake family. He marries Yor Forger and adopts Anya. However, Yor is actually an assassin codenamed ‘Thorn Princess,’ and Anya is a mind reader who fakes her age (she is 4 or 5 years old but claims to be 6) to get adopted by Loid. Neither Yor nor Loid are aware of each other’s backgrounds as they continue to live together and hide their true personalities. Loid also adopts a dog named Bond, who is actually the test subject of Project Apple and has the ability to look into the future.

Spy x Family Anime Release Date
The manga was immediately popular in Japan, which made several fans question why it had not been adapted into an anime. There had been several rumors that an anime adaptation was on its way. However, the confirmation was finally made earlier on 30 October 2021, by a blog from Ryokutya. Although there has been no official announcement made till now, it is confirmed that Spy x Family is getting an anime adaptation from a collaborative project between CloverWorks and Wit Studio. Spy x Family anime will release in 2022.

The anime will be directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Dororo). Kazuaki Shimada (The Promised Neverland) is working on the character designs of the anime, and (K)now Name (Sakura Quest) is composing the anime’s music.

Cast Reveal
The big leak also included another surprise. The Japanese voice actor of Loid Forger is revealed to be Eguchi Takuya. The other cast members have not been revealed yet.
Takuya Eguchi is a very talented voice actor signed under 81 Produced. He previously also voiced some major characters like Hanma (Tokyo Revengers) and Hakiman Hichigaya (My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong). The 34-year-old voice actor is also a very renowned singer affiliated with Kiramune.
