Spider-Man: Brand New Day is continuing its extraordinary run at the domestic box office, with the Sony and Marvel blockbuster set to become the fastest movie ever to reach $800 million in North America. The film is expected to pass the milestone in only 19 days.
That would put Brand New Day ahead of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which previously held the record after reaching $800 million in 23 days. Box Office Mojo’s latest tracking also lists Spider-Man: Brand New Day at $794.05 million domestically, putting it just short of the milestone.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Joins Exclusive $800 Million Club
Once the movie passes $800 million, it will become only the fourth film in domestic box office history to reach that figure. The previous movies were Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The achievement would also add another major box office record to Brand New Day’s growing list. The film has already demonstrated exceptional early momentum, including becoming the fastest movie to reach several major domestic milestones. Box Office Mojo currently records it as reaching $500 million in seven days, faster than Avengers: Endgame, which needed eight days.
The success also strengthens Tom Holland’s position among the biggest box office stars of the Marvel era. Holland previously appeared in Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: No Way Home, both of which eventually surpassed $800 million domestically.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Holland alongside Zendaya and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher. Its domestic performance has remained remarkably strong despite entering its fourth weekend and facing competition from new theatrical releases.
The movie’s momentum is also part of a larger global success story. Earlier in its run, Brand New Day generated a $927 million worldwide opening, making it the second-biggest global opening in movie history according to Deadline.
With the $800 million domestic milestone now within reach, Brand New Day has another major target ahead: challenging the $858.4 million domestic total of Avengers: Endgame and potentially becoming the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever in North America.
