Southern Charm reality TV star Kathryn Dennis, aged 32, was arrested for driving under the influence after being involved in a three-car collision on May 20th.
The incident occurred in Berkeley, South Carolina, where she was stopped by the Goose Creek Police Department around 10 pm local time and asked to perform a sobriety test, as reported.
Following the three-car collision, an officer reported Kathryn Dennis as appearing impaired, noting “glossy eyes and an odor of alcohol.”
Consequently, she was arrested and booked for a DUI. Dennis is scheduled to appear in court on June 4th, and attempts to reach a representative for her were unsuccessful, as reported.
Dennis departed from Bravo’s Southern Charm after eight seasons in January 2023. The show depicts the lives of socialites in Charleston, South Carolina.
The news of Kathryn Dennis’s arrest follows an earlier incident where a vehicle registered in her name was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run incident in South Carolina.
The SUV, registered in Kathryn Dennis’s name, was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run incident, striking a school resource officer directing traffic in front of Whitesville Elementary School in South Carolina.
A source, citing a “knowledgeable source,” reported Dennis’s alleged involvement in the incident. Dennis shares custody of her 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter with fellow Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel, whom she met on the show.
Since their split in 2016, the former couple has been engaged in a custody battle, exchanging allegations.
In 2018, Thomas Ravenel faced two accusations of sexual assault. Ashley Perkins, a Florida-based real estate agent, alleged that Ravenel sexually assaulted her mother, Debbie Holloway Perkins, whom he met on the dating app Tinder in December 2015.
Dawn Ledwell, the former nanny of Ravenel’s children with Kathryn Dennis, also came forward, alleging that Ravenel assaulted her after a night out with his friends.
In September of that year, Thomas Ravenel was arrested and charged with assault and battery in the second degree.
On September 11, 2019, Ravenel pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and battery related to the attack on Dawn Ledwell.
He paid a $500 fine and agreed to donate an additional $80,000 to a local nonprofit supporting sexual assault survivors, but he did not serve any jail time.
