She later announces that auditions for the Kansai Concert Band Competition will be on the first day of camp. Kumiko, Shuuichi, and Kousaka go over important details with their bandmates, aiming for victory at the Kansai Competition.

Meanwhile, Satsuki helps Suzume and the other tuba players in the bass section. Kumiko learns that Mayu isn’t in the room because she prefers practicing alone. At the train station, Kumiko and Kousaka discuss their plans for the Bon Festival. Kumiko teases Kousaka, who then asks Kumiko to visit the pool with her.

In Episode 7 of “Sound! Euphonium,” Kumiko starts by talking about notes she wrote in her, Kousaka, and Shuuichi’s notebook.

Kumiko teases Kousaka, who then asks Kumiko to visit the pool with her. Kumiko agrees, having initially thought Kousaka was busy with entrance exams. Kumiko asks if she can invite Mayu and others, and Kousaka doesn’t mind.

The next day, Kumiko invites Mayu to the pool. Mayu agrees. Kumiko then talks to Kanade, Hazuki, and others in the bass section about the outing. Kanade mentions she and Ririka plan to attend a college information session and asks Kumiko if she’s interested, but Kumiko isn’t.

They greet Kumiko and praise her leadership as president. Kaho introduces herself to Natsuki and Yuuko, and Kanade remarks that Kaho is better at the euphonium than Natsuki, who doesn’t seem surprised. Natsuki and Yuuko catch up with Kumiko and Kousaka.

Yuuko feels confident in their decision to elect Kumiko, Kousaka, and Shuuichi as the band’s leaders. They discuss the upcoming Kansai Competition and their rival schools. Yuuko and Natsuki promise to cheer for them if they make it to the Nationals.

Kumiko, Hazuki, Kanade, and Ririka then split into groups to explore the college information sessions. Afterward, Kumiko and Hazuki visit a restaurant to talk about their experiences. Hazuki reveals her plan to attend a junior college for a nursery school teacher license, inspired by Michie.

She suggests Kumiko become a teacher, but Kumiko is unsure and reflects on the idea while heading home. At home, Kumiko finds her sister Mamiko there. The family discusses Kumiko’s uncertainty about her future career. Later, at the pool, the first-year band members compare their physiques to their seniors.

Kumiko and Kousaka join in, and the girls admire Kousaka’s physique. They eventually leave Kumiko and Mayu alone. Kumiko and Mayu talk about Mayu’s friendship with Tsubame and her desire to make others happy.

Mayu opens up about her preferences, or lack thereof, which reminds Kumiko of her own middle school thoughts. Kousaka and Tsubame return with drinks and ask Mayu what she wants.

Mayu takes a group photo of the girls. Hazuki and others ask about her camera, which Mayu says her father gave her. Mayu revealed that she had many photos taken at Seira High School. Kumiko asks her to take another photo with everyone, wanting to capture the moment together.

The next day, Kumiko and others look at the pool photos in the bass section. Hazuki asks about the group photo, and Mayu says it didn’t develop properly. Mayu then asks Kumiko why she invited her to the pool. She mentions their upcoming audition and plans to give it her best shot. The episode ends with a shot of a facility.
