A new anime called Sorairo Utility, focused on golf, just dropped a sneak peek with its main characters. There are three of them in the spotlight.
In their golfing adventures, Minami, who’s new to the game, learns alongside Haruka and Ayaka, as they all bring their own styles to the course.
Despite going to different schools and having different preferences, their shared love for golf brightens their worlds and makes their story more colorful.
They also told us about more people working on the show. Yuu Satou, from The Legendary Hero is Dead!, is making the series exciting. He’s also helping write the script.
Kouta Nozomi, who came up with the original Sorairo Utility short, is giving a hand with the original idea.
Sorairo Utility is about Minami, a girl looking for something special. She works part-time with Haruka, a talented golfer, and Ayaka, who wants to be an influencer.
The first short for Sorairo Utility came out on December 31 in Japan. It showed Minami, Haruka, and Ayaka having fun, golfing, and hanging out. Akira Amemiya, the director of Gridman Universe, drew the storyboards.
The staff includes director and character designer Kengo Saito, known for his work on the Sorairo Utility short and the Arknights Anime PV Full Version, with animation production by Yostar Pictures.
The cast features Miyu Takagi as Minami Aoba, Yurina Amami as Haruka Akane, and Ayasa Gotou as Ayaka Hoshimi.
Plot
In high school, Minami Aoba feels like she doesn’t have any special talents or big dreams. She worries that when she graduates, she’ll just be like everyone else, not standing out at all, just a plain “villager A”.
But one day, everything changes when she stumbles upon a golf driving range. There, she meets Haruka Akane, who’s not just a part-time worker but also a brilliant golfer.
This is Minami’s very first encounter with golf, and it opens up a whole new world for her. With Haruka’s skills and the lively Ayaka Hoshimi, who dreams of being a big influencer, Minami starts to see a new path ahead.
She sets her sights on something bigger, aiming to become the main character in her own story, leaving her ordinary days behind.
