Sony Interactive Entertainment has disclosed comprehensive top 20 download charts for PlayStation games, segmenting them into separate lists for PS4 and PS5 across both the US/Canada and Europe. In addition, the company has provided top ten rankings for PlayStation VR games, PlayStation VR2 titles, and free-to-play games in each respective region.
The charts reveal a significant presence of sports games, securing 20 spots across the combined PS4 and PS5 rankings, while Rockstar titles claimed seven spots, and Call of Duty games occupied six. The PS5 chart in the US/Canada was dominated by Hogwarts Legacy, securing the top spot, followed by Modern Warfare 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Madden NFL 24, and NBA 2K24.
Meanwhile, in Europe, EA Sports FC led the PS5 chart, followed by Hogwarts Legacy, Modern Warfare 3, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Spider-Man 2. In the PS4 chart for the US/Canada, Modern Warfare 3 claimed the top position, beating out Hogwarts Legacy, MLB The Show 23, Madden NFL 24, and NBA 2K24. In the European PS4 chart, EA Sports FC secured the leading spot, followed by Minecraft, Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto 5, and FIFA 23.
Pavlov emerged as the most downloaded PS VR2 game in both the US/Canada and Europe, with Beat Saber and Kayak VR: Mirage securing second and third positions in the US/Canada, while their positions were reversed in Europe.
In the PS VR chart for the US/Canada, Beat Saber took the lead, followed by Job Simulator and Superhot VR. In Europe, Job Simulator claimed the first spot, followed by Beat Saber and Superhot VR. Among the free-to-play games, Fortnite, Roblox, and Call of Duty: Warzone ranked as the most downloaded in that order in both the US/Canada and Europe.
Notably, a dataminer recently purportedly leaked details about the Death Stranding sequel, suggesting the game is titled Death Stranding 2 – On The Beach, with a new reveal anticipated in the next 15 days.
