Marketed as a pre-release before its regular serialization on Thursdays, the launch met high expectations by releasing 13 chapters with over 2,500 pages. The first three chapters are available to read in Korean and feature the impressive art that originally made Solo Leveling popular.
The creative team, JIN (art) and Dangdo (story) from REDICE STUDIO mentioned, “Please look forward to the interesting growth of the characters, including Sung Suho, and the increasingly spectacular action scenes.”
Series licensor Kakao Entertainment highlighted Solo Leveling’s global appeal and the renewed interest in its world. However, there is no information yet on an English-language release. Due to the high demand, fan translations have started appearing online, which might cause some fans to miss the official release.
The franchise remains popular worldwide and has inspired one of the most-watched anime on Crunchyroll. Fans can likely expect an official release for Ragnarok soon.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok adapts the web novel by Daul. The series, licensed by Tapas, is updated every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with 139 chapters released as of August 2, 2024. The official description reads: “The Earth’s existence is at risk again as Itarim, gods from other universes, try to fill the void left by the Absolute Being.
Sung Jinwoo must send Beru, the shadow ant king, to awaken his son’s powers and start him on a journey he once took. Suho must conquer the shadow dungeon and find his place in the hunters’ world while facing a new evil threatening to consume the world.”
