Ashlyn Harris, the former U.S. Women’s National Team, retired from professional football recently. She also got separated from Ashlyn Harris, but she has her hopes high and has reflected that she is looking forward in life.
On January 16, on the red carpet at the Law & Order: SVU 25th Anniversary Celebration, she talked to E! News, she said that she has never been happier and is very excited about the future and for a new chapter which involves making new memories with her kids that she shared with Ashlyn, 17 months old son Ocean and 2-year-old daughter with Sloane.
She is 39, and she stated that is very excited to discover and explore a new passion and is excited to spend more time with her kids, plus she was happy to go and visit family and friends whenever she likes.
She also intends to add additional play dates with friends and family time to her schedule of social events with her children & wants to go to brunches, birthday celebrations, and get-togethers at the playground.
Divorce from Ashlyn Harris
After almost four years of marriage, Us Weekly verified in October 2023 that Harris, 38, had filed for divorce from Krieger the month before.
The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team is where the two first connected, and in December 2019, they got married. They adopted Ocean in August 2022, and Sloane about two years later.
Krieger expressed her desire to continue healing and continue to have a deeper relationship with herself and discover herself a little bit deeper on that type of level. After being a single mother in 2024, telling E! News, she said that she has not had much time for herself.

Krieger appeared to react to Harris’s recent romantic involvement at the time by posting an Instagram picture of her children. She wrote her happy place, as the post’s caption.
In another Instagram post, Krieger shared pictures of herself playing soccer and claimed to be in her ‘Beyonce lemonade time’. Krieger refrained from directly accusing Harris of infidelity, even though Beyoncé, 42, released her 2016 album Lemonade following her husband Jay-Z’s exposure as a cheater.
In a long Instagram message, Harris denied that she had been unfaithful, everything that had been going on behind closed doors was made public a few weeks ago.
In November 2023 she said that it was not an easy decision to end a relationship after nearly 13 years of friendship, teammates, marriage, and co-parenting (many happy years). They decided to separate, keep up the therapy, center their kids, and move on with their lives.
Harris added, that two happy families are always better than an unhappy one, the process is never easy, but they were making their way through.
