Fans loved the entire film and are now curious about Smokey and the Bandit II filming locations. The film was released back in 1980. The main genres reflected by the story ate action as well as comedy, and drama. Hal Needham has directed the movie, which serves as a sequel to the 1977 film.

In order to pay for the job to transfer the elephant, Snowman, and Bandit decide to enter the race in the hope of winning the same. Carrie and Bandit had hit some rocky roads in their relationship, but with this film, we see them getting back together stronger than ever. The end of the film has a dramatic action sequence.
We see the lead duo taking part in the Trans Am race organized by Enos. They are up against a rival team while also having to deal with the Sheriff Justice in a very cool concept to the finish line. By the end of the film, we see that Snowman and Bandit win the race and are able to pay off the transportation of the elephant. As for Sheriff Justice, he is left to deal with the race.

Smokey and the Bandit II was shot across the United States in a lot of locations. The production crew, along with the cast, had to travel for various scenes. Here is a list of the same.
Texas World Speedway located in College Station, Texas
When Smokey and the Bandit II started out, the initial scenes were filmed at Texas World Speedway which is based in Texas. This track was also used in the film for the Trans Am Race that took place in order to celebrate the Enos Industries opening plant.
Disney MGM Studios in Lake Buena Vista located in Florida
There were some studio scenes as well in Smokey and the Bandit II. These were taken at the Disney MGM Studios in Florida. Some of the unopened areas of the park were used for the same. This location was still under construction at the time. There were many beautiful moments in the film, but none could beat the Great Movie Ride attraction. This was when Bandit and Carrie escaped from the wrath of the police.
Silver Springs State Park in Ocala, Florida
This is the filming location for the part of the film where we saw Carrie and Bandit being chased by the police on a speedboat. Chase scenes are obviously filled with action and thus, the clear water of the lake as well as beautiful skies provided a perfect natural yet neutral backdrop so that the focus can be on the action instead.
Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia
This was the location where the climax of the Trans Am Race took place in the end. This speedway has been used by a lot of production crews back in the day to shoot action films such as Talladega Night: The Ballad of Ricky and Bobby as well as Driving Miss Daisy.
Stone Mountain Park in Georgia
This location was used for the scene where we witness the Bandit and Cleudus meet with Big and Little Enos. They were trying to settle on a bet about the Trans Am Race. This park is one of the highly rated tourist attractions in Atlanta, where it also houses the biggest piece of exposed granite.
