Smilegate Opens Pre-Registration for 'MIRESI Invisible Future' Ahead of Anime Expo 2026

Smilegate has officially opened pre-registration for its upcoming collectible RPG MIRESI: Invisible Future, giving players an early opportunity to sign up ahead of the game’s showcase at Anime Expo 2026. Alongside the pre-registration campaign, the publisher has confirmed that the game will be playable for the first time in North America during the event, allowing attendees to get hands-on with the title before its official release.

The announcement highlights Smilegate’s growing efforts to introduce MIRESI to a global audience. While an official launch date has yet to be revealed, the company plans to share additional details in the coming months as development progresses.

MIRESI to make its North American debut at Anime Expo 2026

Visitors attending Anime Expo 2026 will be among the first players in North America to experience MIRESI: Invisible Future. Smilegate confirmed that attendees can try the game at its booth throughout the event and will also receive exclusive rewards by completing pre-registration on-site.

The game is being developed by Control9, a studio founded by developers who previously worked on titles including Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Seven Knights 2. MIRESI is currently planned as a cross-platform release for both PC and mobile devices, though the publisher has not announced a release window.

Its visual presentation has also generated interest thanks to art direction by illustrator Hyung-sup Kim (Hyulla), whose previous work on several popular subculture games, including Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, has earned recognition among RPG fans.

A strategic RPG built around time and space

Set in a world where time and space intersect, MIRESI: Invisible Future follows the story of the protagonist known as the Councilor, who joins forces with heroines including Ende, Tieria, and Itsuka in an effort to save an era on the brink of destruction.

The game’s combat system blends real-time action with turn-based strategy, placing a strong emphasis on character positioning and movement during battles. According to Smilegate, these mechanics are closely tied to the game’s time-and-space setting, creating a more tactical experience than traditional turn-based RPGs.

Speaking about the announcement, Jae-young Han, Head of Business for MIRESI at Smilegate, said the company hopes Anime Expo will serve as an opportunity to introduce the game to players around the world.

“With our participation in Anime Expo, we wanted to create an opportunity to introduce MIRESI to global players and communicate with them more closely, which is why we launched the pre-registration page. We will continue to gradually reveal more news and updates about MIRESI through various channels, and we hope for your continued interest and excitement.”

Smilegate has not yet announced when MIRESI: Invisible Future will officially launch, but confirmed that more information regarding the game’s release and service plans will be shared at a later date. Players interested in the upcoming RPG can now pre-register through the game’s official website ahead of its Anime Expo 2026 appearance.
