Skeleton Soldier Couldn’t Protect the Dungeon Chapter 256 opens up with Sia showing a book to Skeleton. Skeleton Soldier immediately recognizes the book as he reads it with Isaac. Sia tells everyone that the book was replaced because of the markings present on it.
For example, the book says that Saeron the First wasn’t silver-haired which means that the Imperial Family’s tradition might be fake. Sia explains that the key things all ghosts do is edit books, anything that might threaten or question the imperial families, gets its pages stored in secret or replaced in its entirety.

Sia then reveals another book and says that it’s the most important one as it is the most edited book despite it having no connection with the Imperial family or Saeron. Sia opens the book and shows everyone the part from which it starts to change. She points out that the parts with the inner construction of the wall and the ones with the 3rd and 4th inner walls are all changed. Skeleton quickly deduces the message and says that there’s a secret in Erast that the Imperial family is scared of.
Sia agrees with Skeleton’s deduction. Skeleton further adds that someone must have known about the ghost’s existence when they were building the castle. Sia says that the book also mentions are room which even the ghosts aren’t aware of so Skeleton wonders what kind of secret is hidden in Erast which the Imperial family wants to protect so badly. Sia and Skeleton decide to visit Erast and Unveil the secret themselves.
Skeleton and Sia enter Erast with Rubina and Rena. Rubia feels scared and says that she’s a bit upset because she was the only one who didn’t know about this place’s existence. Rena overhears Rubia’s words and so she bows down and apologizes to her as she didn’t tell her about this place earlier. Rubia tells Rena that she doesn’t need to apologize because it’s not her fault and Skeleton also agrees with her.
Rena says that she would have been able to prevent the threats from the ghost and the tyranny of the Chandler household if she just used her abilities. Rubia stops Rena and says that Rena is a nice person because she admits when she’s wrong which is a rare trait. Rubia then thanks Rena for saving her as Rena was the one who planned the downfall of the lord.
Rubia holds Rena’s hands and then they both smile. Sia watches all this drama from a distance because this is uncomfortable for her. She decides to continue moving forward and asks everyone to follow her if they don’t want to get lost. Rubia and Rena agree to go along with Sia and Skeleton also follows their lead.
They look around the castle while walking and see some displays of Necromancy. They all arrive at the place mentioned in the book after a while and Sia opens a secret path for everyone to go through. Rubia wonders if these secret paths were the reason why the Nun wanted to tear the castle apart with the Red Flake machine.
Sia enters the secret passage and then shows everyone “The Secret of Erast”. The room seems empty with a few weird floor pieces but somehow it leaves everyone speechless.
