The most-awaited segment of the Sister Wives Talk Back special was aired on December 29 on TLC (only for subscribers). Previously on the segment, Kody and his wives from polygamy marriage discussed the loopholes in their marriage and how the “dream of a big family” of Kody Brown is on the edge of not surviving anymore.
In part two of the special segment, Meri and Kody shared their ‘Goodbye Hug’ after having a relationship-breaking conversation as a gesture of farewell between the once-married couple of the polygamy marriage.
How many people hug at the end of their breakup conversation?
During the second segment of ‘Sister Wives Talk Back,’ Meri Brown opened up about the goodbye hug she had with Kody after their relationship ended as the flashbacks of their farewell were discussed and how their relationship couldn’t make it till the end.
Meri asked her friend Jen, “Ok, legit. How many people hug at the end of their breakup conversation?” to which Jen replied, “A high five would have been appropriate,” and both of them busted into laughter. During the October episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown opened up about the loss of spark in his marriage with Meri, but he still kept going. Kody had said, “I feel like Meri and I have had a reasonably amicable relationship.”
The Brown family patriarch had also told the cameras, “It’s distant; I don’t see her very often. I don’t know what to do with a marriage that’s supposed to be eternal but doesn’t have any fire.” in regard to his relationship with Meri.
In January, Kody and Meri took over their respective Instagram handles to announce their split. They wrote that even after more than decades of working on their relationship in their own ways, they have made the decision to permanently terminate their marriage relationship. Following Christine’s departure, Janelle and Meri also ended their marriage with Kody, which leaves him with only one wife, Robyn Brown.
The marriage of Kody and Meri Brown
Meri and Kody Brown had tied the knot in 1990 and shared a child, Leon Brown. Eventually, Meri Brown became the first wife of Kody’s polygamy marriage, as the couple later entered into a polygamous arrangement with Janelle, followed by Christine and Robyn.
Later on, Meri divorced Kody in order to get him the allowance to legally adopt Roby’s children from her previous marriage. The Brown family had undergone a series of issues over the years, which also included the catfish drama of Meri.
The significant point in Kody and Meri’s relationship is said to be when Meri gets virtually involved with a woman posing as a male admirer. The pair teetered for a while before their union was officially served.
Meri had shared that she doesn’t like to live in limbo land. That is where she feels like she has lived a lot, but for now, it is like any Limbo land she is living on is on her own and is not based on anybody else.
Meri had said, “I do wish that we could have had some of the conversations sooner. And also, I don’t know if I would’ve been ready to have some of the conversations sooner.” Further, Kody’s ex-wife has said this is what she wanted because it’s not like she can live her life with regret and wish that something could have happened.
“I think we all do that to some degree, but I know that there are things that I needed to learn, and I know there are things that I needed to do to be able to be in the place that I am right now with the whole thing,” Meri said this in regard to her last farewell conversation with Kody Brown.
