Sherrie Lynn Hutchinson, most famously known as Sherrie Hewson, is an English actress, television personality, and writer. The English actress is making news these days for her personal life. The couple became engaged to be married, but a few days before the wedding, Hewson discovered that Lindsay was having an affair and called it off. Hewson also had a date with Steve McQueen, who urged Hewson to try the seafood she didn’t like; after she vomited all over him, Hewson took a taxi home and never saw McQueen again. In 1972, Sherrie began a live-in relationship with Stanley, a banker, but he physically abused her. Also, Hewson was married to artist Hector Blami, but their marriage resulted in divorce in 1974.

Sherrie Hewson made her big-screen debut in two episodes of Z Cars before making her appearance in The Moonstone and In The Walls. She joined the Carry-On cast team for the film Carry On Behind and later starred in several episodes of the television series Carry On Laughing. She also had a brief role in Alan Bennett’s 1979 drama Afternoon Off as Iris, the ultimately unworthy object of protagonist Lee’s search. In 1993, Hewson was cast as Maureen Webster in Uk’s longest-running soap opera Coronation Street, a dizzy and accident-prone supermarket assistant dominated by her mother.

In 1996, Hewson had to leave the show to make her appearance in the first BBC series Oh, Doctor Beeching! where she reprised her role as May Skinner from the 1995 pilot. Although the role was created specifically for her, Hewson agreed to sign a new contract at the request of the producer of Coronation Street, who was planning the storyline for her character, and Julia Deakin took over the role of May. In May of the year 1997, Coronation Street’s new producer Brian Park had axed a number of characters, including Maureen. Hewson’s last episode aired in October 1997. In December 2006, she returned as Maureen Webster for two episodes. In 2001, Hewson joined the cast of other soap operas, such as receptionist Virginia Raven at the revival of Crossroads.
