We begun this new year with the second cour of the anime, where a lot of new characters are going to be introduced. The last chapter was mostly an introductory chapter since things were being set up for later and we got to learn about the troublesome people that will probably become the villains in the upcoming chapters.
We were introduced to a new character in the beginning of the story as Sunraku helped train him. The newbie was sparring against Sunraku, who kept winning against the greenhorn quite easily. Let us see what happens next with Sunraku in Shangri-La Frontier Episode 15.
Towa Amane made her appearance as well, with news about the Player Killer Guild, Ashura Kai, and how Sunraku might have a clash with them again in near future. Ashura-Kai has been sort of a recurring villain in the series because of their player killing tendencies and a rather brutal as well as violent nature.
Towa Amane is also a member of Ashura Kai but it doesn’t look like she completely appreciates the way her guild operates. In the last chapter, she wanted to side with Sunraku and she even made a very bold proposal to help Sunraku and his team wipe out Ashura-Kai if they cooperate with her.
Shangri-La Frontier is a gaming and adventure anime where most of the things happen inside a game. Our protagonist was a trash-game connoisseur who liked to master broken and buggy games. The MC comes across a new game one day and he realizes that the skills he acquired from playing broken games gave him an edge.
The anime is pretty funny overall and it mainly outlines the adventures of our MC within the video game, as he tries to master it. In today’s article, we will be talking about the release date of Shangri-La Frontier Episode 15, recap what happened in the previous episode and tell you where you can watch the anime.
Recap
In the previous episode of Shangri-La Frontier, we saw Sunraku fighting with a new character Dragonfly, and showing off his skills. Sunraku basically decided to pick up a newbie and train him so he could prove to be useful in the future. Dragonfly tried his best to defeat Sunraku but he couldn’t beat his superior skills and prowess.
After the fight was over, Sunraku actually congratulates Dragonfly on discovering a new bug and he even gave Dragonfly the honor of naming it since he was the one who found it. Dragonfly is an insect controlling player with skills that are mostly related to winged insects.
Afterwards, Sunraku goes back to his residence and decides that he wants to upskill himself by fusing some of his skills together. There was a skill garden in the mansion where Emul’s sister, Elke served as the guide. Emul is actually one of the triplets, which was definitely a new news for the viewers.
Elke seemed to have a rather aggressive personality that was hidden behind her sweet smile. Sunraku opens up his skill tab to decide which skill he wants to merge and buy. He was definitely in a lot of dilemma and even though this particular scene didn’t add much to the story, it definitely made the viewers laugh a lot.
After his struggle with choosing skills came to an end, Elke kicks him out of the garden and poor Sunraku was left traumatized. He goes to a bar with Kei to meet Towa Amane, who was waiting for them. Towa tells Sunraku that she has made up her mind about the fight against Wethermon the Tomb guard but there is still a problem.
Her guild Ashura-kai are the only ones who know the requirements to meet Wethermon, and they are also taking advantage of monster system to level up aggressively. Basically, Ashura-kai didn’t want anyone to hunt Wethermon, so Sunraku might have to go up against them to fight it.
