Shameik Moore, or Shameik Alti Moore, is an American singer, actor, and rapper who has been in the music industry since 2011. The 28-year-old rapper started his journey with short roles in a few movies such as Reed Between the Lines, Joyful Noise, and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Without any godfather, he struggled hard in the industry initially. He is originally from Jamaica because his parents belonged to that place. Later they settled down in Georgia and were blessed with young Shameik.
The rapper completed his basic studies at Druid Hills High School. As he grew up, he became attracted to the entertainment industry, especially music. But he started his career with acting. In 2013, he got a significant role in Incredible Crew (sketch comedy series). Later, the series was canceled. In 2015, he got a significant role in a movie called Dope which ended up being the best decision for him. The reason is the fame he got from the movie. If you about the Netflix series, The Get Down, there were five lead characters in it, one of them was Shameik.

Shameik Moore Controversy
In May 2020, George Floyd, a 46-year-old man, was reportedly murdered by a police officer named Derek Chauvin. This disheartening and shocking event took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S., which resulted in a protest. Several Black people hit the streets and started protesting against the brutality of the police officers.
Shameik Moore, who is a black actor, grabbed his phone and blasted several comments on Police brutality. But, the actor had to face a severe backlash as the comments were allegedly provoking and offensive enough for the blacks. Later, The actor started a live call on Instagram with his friend o that he could apologize for what he tweeted, but that didn’t work out.
The situation in the USA was critical, and police were trying to control the protest. The situation on social media was high temperatures too. In such a case, Shameik reportedly tweeted things that were not acceptable to several people. Some of his initial tweets read that the blacks had to work on their community before the blacks could blame the police or the racist. Then he listed that there is some black-on-black violence that is still going on, so they should address that first.
On the second point, he said, if the Blacks know that the wrong white citizens could change the blacks’ whole life with a false accusation, then why are the blacks giving them such energy that they want? Shameik Moore tweeted more, but later he had to apologize for whatever he did on Twitter.
